The QIB, the Edelmetallverband (Federation of Noble Metals) and GSB International are outstanding quality communities and representations of interests in the field of surface technology. They not only offer their members and partner companies valuable services, but are also a significant link between designer, producer, processor, and customer.           Institutes and Associations           The QIB Qualitätsgemeinschaft Industriebeschichtung e.V. are a quality community seated in Schwäbisch Gmünd that assure and guarantee quality standards for industrial coatings using powder and liquid varnishes. The certified enterprises warrant their customers process-compliant equipment of extreme technical perfection. They are regularly monitored by independent testing institutes.         The Edelmetallverband e.V. (Association of Noble Metals) in Schwäbisch Gmünd acts as a platform for all enterprises engaged in the manufacture, processing and marketing of products made of precious metals, and also for companies in precision mechanics and optical surfaces. The EMV provides its members with advice on economical, professional, socio-political and labour questions and assists them in advertising matters.         GSB International, Gütegemeinschaft für die Stückbeschichtung von Bauteilen e. V. (quality community for coating components in piecework) is a combination of more than 170 companies from 20 countries with headquarters in Schwäbisch Gmünd. These companies have committed themselves to assuring the quality of components made of surfacerefined aluminium and hot-galvanised steel throughout the production process, and are controlled and certified by the GSB.
